Specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery
Op. Dr. Tahir Gökhan Haytoğlu was born in 1982 in Hatay, Turkey, where he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education. In 2000, he began his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, Hacettepe University.
In 2004, he participated in research studies at the Orthopedic Research Laboratory of Washington University in St. Louis, USA.
In 2006, he earned the title of Medical Doctor and, in the same year, successfully passed the Medical Specialty Examination (TUS), after which he commenced his specialization training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.
In 2010, he successfully completed the USMLE examinations in the United States and became entitled to receive ECFMG certification. In the same year, he had the opportunity to work at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland) with Dr. Bahman Guyuron, one of the world-renowned experts in facial, rhinoplasty, and migraine surgery.
During this period, he also conducted cadaver studies in the field of craniofacial surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, working alongside the internationally recognized Dr. McCarthy.
He completed his specialization thesis on the investigation of the effects of fat injection on cranial bone defects in rats. This research was presented as an oral presentation at the European Microscopy Congress (EMC 2012) held in Manchester, United Kingdom, in 2012.
